When I started using Xcode, I quickly became annoyed at the small default window popping up every time, I started a new project. It seemed too small – and I couldn’t find the option anywhere to change the window size.
Well, there’s actually a way to change the default size quite easily. You open any project, make your changes, go to “Window” in the top menu bar, select “Defaults…” and select “Make Layout Default” to do just that.
Note that any change to the layout can be saved as default using this method – not only the window size.
Obvious when you know how.
